OK, it’s official now: the line-up of the Incubate DIY Conference is now complete! Yes, we also said that when we announced the MOMO Q&A with Koen Delaere three weeks ago, but then we got a nice email from IndieGoGo, the world largest platform. They said their CEO, Slava Rubin had plans on visiting Europe in September and asked

if we’d be interested in to have a presentation by them on the DIY Conference.

Of course we couldn’t say no to that. So after a couple of emails, we decided to do a

crowdfunding presentation on DIY / DIWO Funding. You’re wondering what DIWO means, right? Well: Slava Rubin co-founded IndieGoGo in 2008 to empower creative entrepreneurs with Do-It-With-Others (DIWO) tools. There you go.

The service has been used for over 35,000 campaigns and distributed millions of dollars in 200 countries. In 2011, IndieGoGo was named one of the partner companies for Startup America – President Obama’s initiative to stimulate entrepreneurship in America. Recent speaking engagements include Skoll World Forum, TedX, SXSW, CMJ & Internet Week NY, while press includes NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, Oprah, BBC, and CNNMoney.

At the Incubate DIY Conference, Slava Rubin will discuss topics like ‘Crowdfunding as Market Validation’, ‘The tips and tricks of raising money on the Internet’ and ‘How to fund your business, project, or cause’ in his presentation.

You can find the full program of the conference here, get your Pay What You Want-ticket over here. Expect timetables etc. very soon!
