during the Incubate DIY Conference. Mark Fisher is the author of Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative? and is a blogger under the name of k-punk. You can also find him on Twitter here. During his talk, he'll speak about the topics of his book. In Capitalist Realism, Fisher surveys the symptoms of our current cultural malaise. After 1989, capitalism has successfully presented itself as the only realistic political-economic system. We live in a world in which we have been told, again and again, that There Is No Alternative. Using examples from politics, films, fiction, work and education, he argues that capitalist realism colours all areas of contemporary experience, while even holding out the prospect of an antidote.
